Brno
The second largest city in the Czech Republic is an important centre of industry, trade, congresses, fairs, culture and sport. Overlooking Brno are the dome of St. Peter and Paul on Petrov and the Baroque fortification of Spielberg Castle, which sadly became famous as a prison. Brno boasts numerous interesting churches and the old Gothic town hall, where the "Brno Dragon" hangs. The former Capucin church is famous for its grave with mummified bodies.
